“Open Plaza” is an electronic music album which fuses styles such as Synthpop, IDM, Chillwave and Vaporwave, under the influence of musicians like Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Oneohtrix Point Never and many others.
“Open Plaza” is about the idea of feeling trapped in public spaces and how this makes anyone feel disconnected, as if it were a method of self-defence to overcrowded spaces and consumerism. Places like shopping centres, supermarkets and recreational parks lose their touristic and commercial purposes and become escapist dreamscapes.
