Info: Shock Opera! by opening needle progress is a work that emanate psychedelic airflows, krafty kaleidoscopes and lysergic visions with only one ubiquitous constant: a poetic sonic oneirism. The album does indeed have a set of textures which are pieced together like a surreal puzzle, among them clear cut guitars grafted with frequency-bending filters, synth-oid sparks and vocals, percussive noises, beats and droning bass runlets. The end result is therefore not completely arbitrary and allows “Shock Opera!” to fathom out a certain mad stringency and surely an universe of tales in which to sink each of the 5 senses.
